Who We Are
Janet’s passion for travel began in 2004 during her first business trip to the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of Italy. It was on this very trip that she met her future (Canadian) husband. Inspired by her love of Italy and a growing interest in creating unforgettable travel experiences, Janet founded Italian Villa Events, LLC in 2007. As her clients’ interests expanded beyond Italy, the company evolved into IVE & Travel, reflecting a broader scope of curated journeys.
After years of long-distance adventures across Europe, Janet and her husband eventually settled in her hometown of San Francisco and celebrated their wedding in Tuscany in 2011. They have two darling children, both of whom have been traveling since they were in diapers. The little wanderlusters frequently join Janet on site inspections of hotels and villas, offering their unique, youthful perspective — proving that travel truly is a family affair.
